Saint Juan Diego
In December 1531, Saint Juan Diego saw the Blessed Virgin Mary, who requested that a chapel be built for her. In response to the bishop's request for a sign, Mary gave Juan Diego a gift of roses in winter as well as a miraculous image of her on his cloak. That iconic image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is enshrined today at a basilica in Mexico City, where more than 20 million people venerate Our Lady every year. Learn more about Saint Juan Diego from Fr.
